Viewing, Adding, or Editing a Connection’s Contact Information

How do I view, add, or edit contact information for my connections?

You can view, add, or edit contact information from:

The Connections tab:
  1. Move your cursor over Contacts at the top of your homepage and select Connections.
  2. Click the connection's name to view the information.
  3. Click the Edit details link in the box with the person's information.
  4. Move your cursor over a field with information in the pop-up window and click to Edit or click Add to enter new information.
  5. Note: You can't edit the primary email address of a connection. This is the email address your connection has registered on their LinkedIn account.

  6. Click Save Changes.
The Imported Contacts tab:
  1. Click Contacts at the top of your homepage and click the Imported Contacts tab.
  2. Click View and edit details under the contact's name.
  3. Click to the right of a field to edit or add information.
  4. Click Save Changes.
A 1st-degree connection's profile:
  1. Click Save Changes in the top section of the member's profile.
  2. Click the View/edit link or Add Contact Information (whichever appears).

Note: The information you add is only visible to you, and never to the contact you're editing.
