LinkedIn Applications have been replaced with a new feature that lets you display samples of your work on your profile. You can link to or upload images, presentations, videos, or documents. Not everyone has this feature yet, but it is gradually being released to all members. Click an application below to see how to access and display content from some of the old applications:
You will be able to continue to post TripIt updates to your LinkedIn network and profile by linking your TripIt and LinkedIn accounts. Show me how.
We are actively working with JD Supra to integrate the content from your JD Supra portfolio into your new LinkedIn profile. Expect to hear from JD Supra directly as we make this switch. In the meantime, if you’ve been posting your documents via the "Legal Updates" app, you can continue to update your network with your latest content by logging into your account on JD Supra.
Any of your Behance content you’ve uploaded using the Portfolio Display application was automatically migrated to the Summary section of your profile after you were upgraded to the new profile design.
Any SlideShare content you’ve uploaded using the SlideShare Presentations application were automatically migrated to the Summary section of your profile once you were upgraded to the newly redesigned LinkedIn profile.
With this new platform, applications such as the Lawyers Rating Application by LexisNexis®Martindale-Hubbell® will no longer be supported. This application icon will no longer display on your LinkedIn profile. Be on the look-out for the next generation Ratings application from LexisNexis®Martindale-Hubbell® available in the near future.
If you self-host your WordPress site, you can enable auto posting to LinkedIn through the Jetpack plugin from Automatic. If your site is on WordPress.com, simply enable the Publicize setting for LinkedIn from your WordPress.com Dashboard.
The Amazon Reading List application is no longer supported. However, your Reading List information has been preserved and is available for import on Shelfari.com. Shelfari is an Amazon-owned site that helps you track the books you’ve read and are reading, discover new books and interact with other readers.
You can import your Reading List books and reviews directly to Shelfari:
- Go to http://www.shelfari.com and sign in using your Amazon account or your existing Shelfari account.
- Create a new Shelfari profile, if you don’t already have one, by following the instructions on the screen.
- Once you’ve created your Shelfari profile, go to http://www.shelfari.com/addbooks and click Import next to “Import Your LinkedIn Reading List”.
- You’ll then be prompted to sign into LinkedIn to allow Shelfari to access your Reading List info.
- Input your LinkedIn login information, and click Allow access.
- You’ll then be brought to your Shelfari bookshelf, which will include the books from your Reading List.

Note: We cannot automatically move content from the remaining applications to your profile.
