There are 2 ways you can report inaccurate profiles and specific profile content to LinkedIn.

To flag inappropriate or fake profiles directly on the website (such as profiles that contain profanity, empty profiles with fake names, or profiles that are impersonating public figures):
  1. Click the Down arrow next to Send a Message or Send InMail in the top section of the member's profile.
  2. Select Block or report.
  3. Click the box next to Report.
  4. Select a reason for flagging the profile.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Select Agree.
To report profiles with inaccurate employment or education information, or a profile that is impersonating you:

If you, in good faith, believe that content listed in the body of a member's profile is inaccurate or unlawful, then you can file a formal complaint using the Notice of False Profile form.

Once you've completed the form, it will automatically be sent to our Trust and Safety team for review. You can save a copy for your reference.

Important Note: Any assertions made by you in submitting this form are under penalty of perjury. We may provide the contact information included in claims about inaccurate or unlawful profile information, including email address, to the member that posted the allegedly inaccurate content. You can also find a link to our Copyright Policy under Privacy & Terms on the right side of your homepage. This details LinkedIn's policy for handling these claims.
